Architecture of Perfect Damnation

MARK: 67/100

This debut CD from the southern Italian band consists of 7 long tracks + intro and outro, mixing Dimmu Borgirish Black metal with some Death vocals together, symphonic keyboards (though the latter are sometimes too simple), and some Death SS ideas + a couple of trite movie intros.

We also find a few thrash or death riffs, quite good (just listen to "A Puzzle of Flesh", a song with the right dose of wickedness not making you weight its 10 minutes of length), but what really stands out is the very fast drum machine, esp. in "Excellent Art of Cruelty".

"Architecture of Perfect Damnation" can be a sufficient start, even if it sometimes sounds too cold and mathematical. Next time more class and originality are required.
